Pirates!

Last night I went to see the new Pirates of The Caribbean. We planned to go to the 9:30 show, but when we got there at about 9:00, all the shows were filled until 11:00. So we ended up waiting in the theater for an hour and a half, but I think it was worth it. That was one of the best new movies I've seen in a long time. It was a lot funnier than the first one, but not quite as much action. In my opinion though it was better than the first. And besides Keira Knightley is pretty amazing looking throughout the movie. And of course theres the great effects and dazzling images. I would give this movie four out of five stars. If you enjoyed the first one, then go see this asap. Everything about it was very well done. I just can't wait for the next one now.

All The Same

Their are not enough choices these days in politics. The differences between Democrats and Republicans have become trivial. The reason for this is because of America's two party system. Both political parties tend to move toward the middle (the democrats being barely on the left side of things and the republicans barely on the right), therefore causing the extreme liberals and extreme conservatives to settle for the closest thing to their stance. This creates the problem of misrepresenting many citizens views.
If the U.S. would change to a multiple party system this would better represent different voters. We would not have the problem of extreme liberals having to vote democrat because their is no strong alternative. Sure, the governement wouldn't get as much done because of multiple views on different subjects, but it would better represent the people, and isn't that what a government is supposed to do?

Who Attacked The WTC on 9/11 Again?

I don't know how many other people noticed this, but it wasn't Iraq who attacked us on 9/11, it was Bin Laden and AL Qaeda. Somehow everyone was convinced, by the Bush administration, that Iraq was the real enemy. Did Saddam plan the WTC attacks? I don't think so. We are in Iraq right now because of the 9/11 attacks. Without them there would be no war, because the Bush administration would have had no excuse to send troops over there. And now the CIA cut a unit that was tracking AL Queda. This happened late last year, but we're just finding out about this now.
But the question still looms: "What about bin Laden, the man Bush pledged to get 'dead or alive'?". It seems that everyone has forgotten about the man responsible for the largest terrorist attacks on U.S. soil, especially the president. "We remain unwilling to share the president's seeming complacency about bin Laden he expressed in March 2002: 'I don't know where he is ... I truly am not that concerned about him'". That quote shows exactly what type of a president Bush is. How could he possible not care about the man who attack his country. Shouldn't this man be brought to justice?

Death For College Students

The Bush administration has once again managed to neglect people who need help at home in order to fund its oversees operations. This time it happens to be the future of this country, college students. I found this article about a sophomore stumping bush about the student loan cuts. I forsee some serious response to this once the school year starts again. And the pell grants he talks about boosting are not going to even come close to covering the cuts they made. I'm happy that sophomore exposed Bush for the confused babbling goof he really is. You'd think he'd have more of an idea of whats going on, especially on a subject as big as that.
